GPW Newsletter: March 2025

Welcome to the March 2025 edition of the Genomics Partnership Wales newsletter!

Since our last update, we have been busy supporting the final phase of our relocation to the Canolfan Iechyd Genomig Cymru, the new home of Genomics in Wales. Now that all colleagues are settled in, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce you to our Facilities Lead, Sharon Takata, who ensures that the facility supports the needs of all who are based there. We also chat to Sounding Board Member Georgina, on her recent appointment as a PPIE member of our Programme Board, and what she is most looking forward to in her new role. In addition, Georgina and fellow Sounding Board members Nat and Melanie, share their experience of living with rare conditions, to mark Rare Disease Day 2025.  Plus, our Head of Programme Michaela John discusses her recent visit to Singapore to learn more about mainstreaming genomics and we take a forward look at some of the upcoming events that we will be attending and share details on how you can get involved.
