In response to the aims of the Genomics Delivery Plan for Wales, Genomics Partnership Wales have worked alongside Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to develop the Strategic Workforce Plan for Genomics.

The plan outlines a roadmap for the next three years, consisting of 33 actions to all NHS Wales colleagues in developing their genomic literacy skills, no matter their area of clinical practice. The plan will address skills and knowledge gaps to ensure that the Welsh population benefits from the full impact of genomic medicine.
