Have your say on the Pharmacogenomics Delivery Plan for Wales
We have now extended the deadline for NHS health care professionals to provide their feedback on the Pharmacogenomics Delivery Plan for Wales, which is now open until May 21st.
Pharmacogenomics — the study of how genetic variations influence response to medicines — has the potential to transform healthcare delivery across Wales. By enabling more personalised treatments, pharmacogenomics can help improve patient outcomes and reduce the risk of adverse drug reactions.
The proposed 3-year delivery plan will set out clear actions to support the adoption of pharmacogenomics within NHS Wales. This will include building the necessary infrastructure, supporting workforce development, embedding research and innovation, and integrating pharmacogenomics into routine clinical practice.
NPGG is inviting views from healthcare professionals and stakeholders to understand how pharmacogenomics may impact current and future practice across Wales.
Feedback provided through this short survey will play an important role in shaping the development of the Pharmacogenomics Delivery Plan.
